Dr. De Silva has completed 14 years of university level studies including a Master's and PhD at McGill University. She interned at St-Mary's Hospital Outpatient Psychiatry and the Jewish
General Hospital Couple and Family Therapy Unit, Cognitive Behavioral Unit, and Emergency Followup Services where she obtained specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Couple and Family
Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy.
Since the beginning of her career in 2003 and the opening of her private practice in 2006, Dr. De Silva has gained extensive experience providing individual therapy, couple and family therapy,
evaluating and treating anxiety disorders, depression, eating disorders, and a variety of other disorders. She has been a consulting psychologist at BACA Eating Disorders Clinic, PsyMontreal,
and the Clinique Multidisciplinaire de Brossard. She is currently affiliated with the Clinique Multidisciplinaire de Longueuil. Her wide experience will help you maximize your results
Dr. De Silva has worked in university, community, and private practice settings. She trained novice psychologists in doctoral programs at McGill University, run therapy and support groups, and
led workshops on time management and productivity enhancement at McGill University.
Dr. De Silva stays current by attending the conferences of OPQ, CPA and APA. She also regularly enhances her skills by following training programs
and workshops by leaders in the field of psychology and human behavior.
